We had a fun get together with great friends and neighbors the first weekend. We had a mafia themed dinner party, and a few of us dressed up. :)
Brendan had his first outdoor middle school practice. It ended up being a nice day so we all went!
And when we got home, Emma wrote out her Valentine's cards.
Since Jackson is still in a cast and can't participate very much in art, he drew this for me on the computer and emailed it to me. :)
JC and I took a trip to Punta Cana for 3 nights without the kids and had the best time. I will do a separate post on that trip!
The Wednesday before our trip, the kids had an early release from school so I took Emma to get a pedicure with me.
The day we flew home, there was a snow/ice storm. Unfortunately, it stayed cold (like below 10 degrees every night) so the kids missed the rest of school that week. Here is JC trying to scrape ice off of our windshield.
Our church youth group had the annual Dodgeball tournament, and Brendan got to play with his team...Team Neon. They won the middle school division. Jackson still couldn't play because of his cast.
Jackson's team was the Beastie Boys. They came in runner up.
That Sunday, our niece turned 5, and she had a party at the Children's Museum.
The next week, Jackson finally got his cast off...just in time to play in the soccer tournament that his team entered in Atlanta.

We then went back to Krispy Kreme to celebrate, and Jackson decided to get a hair cut so that we could bleach his hair for the tourney.
That night, we had our biggest snowstorm of the year. It did not snow quite as much as predicted, but we got about 6 inches.
On that Friday, there was still no school, and JC and I were not working so we headed to Atlanta a little early to get ready for soccer.
We checked into the team hotel, and Jackson was very excited to meet up with friends.
On Saturday, the boys played two games and won both.
We all ate lunch at Chic Fil A in between games. Emma had a great girls' lunch.
That night most of the team went to dinner. It was a lot of fun.
On Saturday, March 1st, the boys had an early game. It poured down rain and was 36 degrees. It was miserable, and they lost...so back to NC we went.
