Catching Up

The boys getting ready to trick-or-treat in the Magic Kingdom

"Goodbye" in Russian - from It's a Small World

The Teacups - one of our favorites!

Where does the time go? I can't believe it has been 20 days since I last posted here! A lot has happened since then though! A little catch-up on the adoption first: We did receive our amended paperwork back from the Secretary of State's office and that was then forwarded on to our agency on 10/28/08. I did find out today that the packet has arrived in Russia .

Secondly, we took the boys to Disney World for fall break this year. They had a blast. One of our very favorite things was going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom on Halloween night. If you have the chance to do this, go! Even as an adult, I had a great time! The boys wore their costumes (Yoda and Darth Vader), but TheDentist and I did not! Next time, we surely will! It was a lot of fun. We went to all of the Disney parks except for Animal Kingdom while we were there. There is just so much that we did not get to do on this trip so I am trying to convince TheDentist that we need to go back SOON!

Please enjoy these photos from the Magic Kingdom!!!

Looks like you guys had a great time. Haven't been to Disney since 6th grade, but remember LOVING every minute of it. Did the whole Epcot, Disney and SeaWorld adventure.
Glad to hear the adoption is moving along. Keeping you guys in my thoughts as you continue your journey to bringing Emma home! xoxo, T

We are in the process of adopting a little girl from Russia too. We adopted our daughter from Russia 2 1/2 years ago and we are hoping to get a little sister for her.

How long have you been waiting? Would you say that the process has been smooth? I've heard a lot about how things have changed and so I'm curious to how it is going for people.

God bless your family!

Hi. I found your blog through my adoption website. I haven't adopted yet, but I hope too, but it will be a little while down the road. I am looking forward to following your journey especially since you are open to an older child. I think that is great. This is what I would like to do as well. There is a website: twoheartsforhope.org it involves carrying for the little orphans of kaz. Anyway, congratulations.
