A Little Christmas Baking

Yesterday I decided the boys and I would bake some sugar cookies. Of course I didn't make the cookies from scratch...they were from the refrigerated section of the grocery store. I did call my neighbor and ask to borrow her rolling pin (since I don't own one), and we used cookie cutters to make shapes. Then the boys put sprinkles on top before baking.
Before the actual baking, we made hot chocolate.

Lil' Roy and flour - not a smart combination!

Butch wrote "Tar Heels" in the foot-shaped cookie dough...too bad the writing was gone when they came out of the oven!

After baking I realized the cookies were way too close together on the pan. Some of the shapes were hard to make out, but they all tasted fabulous!

It looks like you had a great time making cookies! We do own a rolling pin but we only use it once a year (for Christmas cookies)! Cute pictures!

What a fun activity for the kids (or brave one I should say) :)...you sound like me (I don't own a rolling pin either)! ;)
I tried to be a "follower" but I can't find where to add me???

It was fun chatting over email :)

Take Care

The cookies look great :-)

I haven't mentioned yet - I have a soft spot for the Tar Heels! My mom's parents grew up in Charlotte and my mom's oldest sister was born there before they moved to Louisville. I still have a lot of family down that way, too. My two favorite things about NC -- Tar Heels and Livermush.
