Hope you all had a great weekend! We were busy here trying to rearrange some furniture and going to the boys' baseball games.
Emma is really doing great! It is amazing how much more comfortable and relaxed she seems. We are all more relaxed and finally adjusting to this crazy family of five. Emma's sleeping has improved slightly. She goes down great for naps and at night when it's time for bed. I mean, she is asleep within 5 to 10 minutes with us sitting by her side. BUT...the middle of the night proves to be a different story. She is usually awake sometime around 2am. This usually means awake for 45 minutes to one hour. That is with one of us in the room with her. Most of the time she is not crying - just lying in her bed, but she won't let us leave her. She is completely terrified of being by herself. Thursday night she was awake for three hours straight, but then she slept through the night on Saturday night. I think we are making progress though!
Anyway, the title of my blog post today is about taking photos of my children. The boys were already difficult to photograph, but trying to get all three to smile at the same time was almost impossible.
Below are a few photos that I tried to get on Friday. This was the first time that I tried to photograph all three together.

Let's try this again...
Glad things have settled a bit. Looks to me like you are doings a great job getting a picture of all three. It's hard for me to get a decent picture of Andrew....he'll either turn his head or close his eyes.
It's obvious the boys are completely in love with Emma. What does she think of her brothers?
I see a whole lot of TROUBLE when I look at those three! So cute.
Beautiful children. Made me smile. Emma looks very happy and content with her new brothers.
It does not matter if they are all smiling or not. Just having pictures of all 3 of them is a blessing and you will cherish them and laugh about them in years to come. LOL!!
They are very cute kids. Emma looks very happy, and you can sure tell that her brothers adore her. Also you can see that Emma is LOVING the attention they are giving her. LOL!!
She really is just a cutie pie!
The sleeping will get better over time. One thing you could try if you would like is putting her in your room for a month or so. You might get more sleep but then again she might like it so much she does not want to go back to her room later. Honestly, she will settle down but unfortunately it will take time. LOL!!
Good luck and thanks for the updates. I just love hearing how things are going. LOL!!
Love,
Sheila
I am glad that things are going better. I didn't realize until I saw the photo of the three of them how MUCH Emma looks like your other two children, particularly your oldest! Wow! Isn't God amazing in His details?
LOL.....my 2 boys are hard to photograph as well, we'll be a comedy routine with 3.....love the one where brother is holding her head to look at the camera.....priceless!!!
You'll love and laugh at all this one day.....right?
God Bless!
I love how they are holding her head in the desired position ~ too cute! Everytime I get my camara out to capture a moment I'm greeted with heads ducking and family running from the room. The poor bulldog even heads for his crate! :)

Take Care,

Adorable pictures! So glad to hear things are going well.
Wow, look at those beautiful babies! I hope sweet girl starts sleeping through the night for you! I know that is hard on you.
Oh... I love seeing your precious girl at home. I've been so consumed with our church, I haven't been spending much time blogging. I feel like i missed a lot that was going on.
Would you mind telling me what agency you used again?
Thank you friend!
She is precious!
Hugs!!!!

Wow! I had not realized how much they look alike either. It is hard to get 3 all looking and smiling at the same time. I want a family portrait and I know that 5 has to be HARD!
I am so sorry that Emma is waking up. Kate did that for a long time. We tried all sorts of things...even having her sleep with us in the beginning. On thing finally did work but it is long and involved to type here. If you want me to share it with you...let me know. Maybe I can tell you on the phone:)

I love the pictures of the three of them together! Emma looks at home and happy!
I wanted to mention something to you..
As you know ive always been intrested in Russian Adoption, and even though The Hubs and I are no where near ready to adopt, I like to browse the internet and learn what I can and most of all read stories of others whom have adopted (yours exspecially :} )
A friend of mine sent me the link to a Russian site that shows photolistings of adoptable children in Russia. I'm not sure if youve heard of it, but while browsing through pictures of the sweet orphans, I came across one that looked familiar.....
