A Few of My Favorite Christmas Decorations

Lisa at The Long Road to China has inspired me to share some of my favorite Christmas decorations. Although we did not put up every tree that we normally do or even unwrap every ornament for our main tree, I still managed to find most of my "favorites" that bring me joy year after year.
Each year my mom gives me a Santa to add to my collection. Below is the Santa that she gave me last year. He is larger than life, and I adore him.

Although this wreath is artificial, I love its appearance on the window.

I made this ornament when JC was still in the Navy. It is a shoulder board showing his rank and his affiliation with the Dental Corps (oak leaf with two acorns).

Each year, I attach this huge Santa face to the wreath that hangs above the mantle. This year I also added starfish.

I made the ornament below one Christmas when I was home from UNC. It is made using old buttons. For some reason, it is still special to me, and I love hanging it each year.

I just love the fact that we have five stockings hanging from the mantle this year. Here are also a few more of the Santas MiMi has given me through the years.

Below is a photo of our front door. My MIL made the wreath for me, and my mom did the garland about four years ago. I still love using these outdoor decorations since I am not crafty enough to make my own greenery.

Last year I found these matryoshka doll ornaments at Pier 1, and I bought all they had.

And of course, the reason we celebrate Christmas in all its GLORY...

I love the front door wreath and garland! I was noticing it the other day when you posted the picture of you and Jackson heading to the Nutcracker. I love the fact that the wreath has no hole in the middle. In fact, I was contemplating making one very similar for my front door next year!

OMG, your decorations are absolutely beautiful. It looks like a show case for Christmas. You should have an open house just for that one reason.
I am very serious, it is very impressive looking. I hope you can pass on your decorating talent on to your adorable little girl. LOL!! Has she broke anything yet?

I wish I had that type of talent.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Love,
Sheila
