Black and White Wednesday

This is Week 5 of Black and White Wednesday hosted by Lisa at The Long Road to China! I have enjoyed this each week so far even though I am not trained in photo processing. One thing that I have decided that I like about black and whites, however, is a stark contrast.

In keeping with the "theme" of the Mid-Atlantic, I decided to post a few photos that I took early last Friday morning after it had been snowing a few hours here in NC. Thankfully for us, this snow stopped after only about 2-3 inches. As we all know, this storm headed north and dumped a ton of snow on the Capital.

Check out those big, fluffy flakes...

What great photos ~ our trees are filling up as I type. I love the one on your patio with the chairs and fireplace ~ rather cozy!

These are wonderful, I'm a huge fan of Winter scene black and whites. Love the contrast of the snow against trees. All 3 truly are lovely!

Is that YOUR outdoor fireplace? That is what I long for!! Did you guys have it put in or was it there when you moved in? I LOVE it!

Great pictures but glad all that was happening over at your place and not mine. I'm thankful I'm not a DC or NY resident. I would be going crazy.

Wow!!! I love the snow actually coming down in the photos. It lends so much depth to them. What a beautiful snow it is and you've captured it wonderfully.
