Six months ago today, we boarded a plane in Moscow bound for Washington DC with one scared little girl (and two anxious parents). Looking back, it feels like a lifetime ago, and in some ways it was. Our lives were forever changed the moment we stepped off that last plane in NC and rushed toward our waiting families. We no longer were a family of four...we now had our EMMA.
Six months is really just a blink of an eye in one's lifetime. I can't imagine our lives without Emma. She has so much personality and brings so much entertainment, love and joy to our lives daily. She is a little firecracker, and I am so thankful that her little personality was not broken by living in the orphanage her first 21 months.
We have been so blessed by getting to know and love EMMA and look forward to the rest of our lives with her.

I'm sure you categorize life *before Emma* and *after Emma*...and the *afters* are just perfect! She is a doll!
