Martha Stewart Crafting at the Carolina House

This weekend our very good friends came up from Wilmington to hang out and celebrate Christmas! We had such a blast! They also have two minis (Dino and Princess - I kind of like these nicknames) who love to play with our boys! We spent the weekend mostly inside since it was cold out, but we also had time for several Christmas activities that would even make Martha Stewart smile!
Classic Dino smile showing off his Christmas star ornament made from colored popsicle sticks!

The Princess is showing off her star ornament!
Butch with his star...
We also made snow globe ornaments without the water, of course. I cannot even imagine attempting something like that with these four.
The finished products...

Since we took so many photos, I've decided to do another post on the mini-gingerbread houses that the kids made...very cute!

Hello! I found your blog on BooMama's website. I love the Christmas ornaments your children made! What a wonderful way to bond and be creative together. I have two little girls who would LOVE to participate in an art project like yours. I may have to "borrow" your idea.

You have a BEAUTIFUL family and a lovely home. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! God Bless.

Hi.....what a great idea! B & M would love to do that with their cousins next week. You should be an elementary school teacher with all your great crafty ideas! My sister-in-law is a Kindergarten teacher and I emailed her about the "snow globes" and she LOVED the idea! Thanks :)

I hope your family has a safe, warm, and wonderful Christmas break! :)

I wish I could take credit, but my dear friend who came to visit brought all of the supplies and ideas! She is a SAHM, but she has her Masters in Elementary education!
