Seeking Leprechauns

My boys have been very excited about St. Patrick's Day. Jackson has come home each day this week telling stories about the sneaky little leprechaun that he has in his kindergarten class. The students have not spotted the leprechaun yet, but he pulls pranks and leaves them notes. Last year, Brendan made a leprechaun trap in his first grade class, and he assured Jackson that he could remember how to make another. So this afternoon, we made leprechaun traps baited with gold glitter and rainbows.
Enjoy the photos...maybe, just maybe, we'll catch one of those sneaky little guys!

Looks like so much fun!!

Nick had to do this as a Science Project one year....I think it was in third grade. They were learning about simple machines and they had to make a leprechan trap using at least 2 simple machines. He was so excited with the way this project turned out that he still has it in his room!!

Hope you are having a great week!

The boys are really into this project. I hope it works. I never had a leprechaun sneaking around my school :-( but it sure sounds like fun!

Too cute! How creative of your boys to make these! I hope they catch something - or at least get some leprechaun tracks!

I haven't been around in a while and just realized you got your referral! Congratulations. I hope your preparations go smoothly and can't wait to see and hear about your little girl!
