Wednesday Update

We had to change hotels today in St Petersburg since our original reservation expired and there were no more rooms available at our original hotel. It was a long day here...very cold and very rainy. We were very homesick! We did get one visit with Emma today at the Baby Home, and she actually had a different dress on...

We are now being told by the folks in Moscow that it could be Thursday before we leave. We are incredibly concerned because no one will give us a straight answer. We have asked for help from the folks in St Petersburg; we have asked for help from our agency guide in NC, and we have even emailed our contact person in Moscow. We have yet to get a firm date for travel home. We are so frustrated! How in the world are we supposed to make new travel arrangements home when no one will tell us when we can leave here??? Please, please pray for us that we get some answers tomorrow. We cannot stand the unknown much longer being in a foreign country and not knowing when we can leave!

That is all I have the energy to post today. Please enjoy the photos!

Oh Corey, I'm so sorry you're having such a rough day ~ even Emma looks like she's had enough and just want to go home!

You, JC and Emma are in my prayers for a quick and safe trip home.

I've been meaning to ask ~ how are the boys doing?

I'm so sorry you're having a hard time getting definitive travel dates. I know it must be so hard on you and especially on your boys. How can they count down the days when they don't know what they're counting down to?

Emma is just precious.

I hope you get some answers soon!

Oh goodness, I know exactly how frustrating that seems.... after such a long time and journey, you just want to get home so the rest of your life can begin. You're exhausted with the whole system at this point.

I hope it gets cleared up in the morning. What agency are you with? I don't really understand why they can't give you a leave date... you know exactly what has to be done in Moscow and if you're getting there on Sunday they should be making those appointments NOW and giving you the date of departure, this isn't rocket science.

I have to agree with Ondrea.. not rocket science. The only thing I can hope is that they just might be able to get your appointment done in one day. It happens sometimes... as it did for us. God moved some major mountains for that to happen. I will be praying that you can find the answers that you need and are able to get your travel dates etc set.

I can so relate after being in country for so long... it's just time to go home.

I will pray for answers and "plans". I just love her sweet curls and chubby little cheeks. She is just beautiful!

Oh... I know how hard it can be... but just know that God won't leave you there. He will be faithful to work out the details to get home. Just enjoy your time with your precious girl. These moments will forever be etched in your mind. I know waiting is hard... but it is ordained and planned. Relax and enjoy one another.

Love to you.

We were stuck an extra week than we had planned when we adopted two years ago in St. Pete. We were so upset as well, we had two little ones back home that didn't understand why we were gone so long. I started having panic attacks.

What helped us was having my parents send us pics of the kids holding cards saying "we love you", working out in the hotel gym every day, pretending like we were on date nights every night, enjoying new restaurants, etc. Take a deep breath, one day at a time, remember the end goal. God bless, will keep you in our prayers.

I'll be praying that you get answers soon. I can't imagine how stressful that is.

Emma looks adorable in red. I can picture her on your Christmas card. Lol.
