The Tradition of Flowers

Of course we could not let Emma's first dance recital pass us by without making sure she had a beautiful bouquet of flowers awaiting her.

We knew that she would be in her street clothes after the performance, so I snuck a few photos of her in her ballet costume right before leaving for Wake Forest.

After the recital, Emma's face lit up when she saw us there holding out the bouquets to her. She couldn't wait to get those tiny little hands on them.

She even let me get a quick photo of her with Dad...

And her Patsy (who brought the most beautiful hydrangeas cut from her yard)...

I am not sure how long Emma will be interested in dance. I know that I will enjoy seeing her perform for as long as she is willing though!

Every time I see Emma and her smiling face, I marvel at how good God is to have connected the dots from NC to Russia...only He could orchestrate such a divine plan! Congrats!

It's all about the flowers! Just like with my Jackson... It's ALL about the trophy!
