Brendan's First Art Show

Brendan is taking art in middle school as one of his electives.  He is really enjoying the class and has an amazing teacher.  The art department is spectacular, and each year they have an art show which showcases professional artists as well.

The Winterized Wonders Defrosted Art Show was last night so we all went to see Brendan's artwork that he submitted.  There was food, live music, a puppet show and much more.  I only took my iPhone so that I wouldn't embarrass Brendan too badly.

The entire school was decorated with art both indoors and out.

Even the band room was decorated:


Outside they had a Wishing Tree that you could place your wishes on...Emma made a wish, and it was placed on the tree!

Brendan had two pieces of art on display.

The first is a "Bird with Personality" clay sculpture.  According to Brendan, his bird is wearing a baseball cap and football pads.  He is an athlete.



The second piece is a sketch, and Brendan won 2nd place in the Sketch Category.



We are so proud of B and his enthusiasm to step out and do something creative.
