I'm sure everyone has heard of "the Elf on the Shelf" book. If you have children who still "believe" and don't have one of these books, you should go out and buy one right now (see 1st photo)!!! Once you get your own elf, you are free to name him. My boys named our elf, "Fritz Fritz" - not sure where this name came from, but it has stuck.

So Fritz Fritz made it back from the North Pole yesterday and landed on the top bunk in the boys room. I was downstairs in the kitchen, and both boys come tearing down the stairs screaming, "Mom, Mom, come quick"! I didn't know what to think. They drug me up to their room, and sure enough, there he was - just sitting there. Well, at our house, Fritz Fritz flies back to the North Pole each night to report back to Santa on Butch and Lil' Roy's behavior for the day. Today, however, Butch decides he's gonna send a letter back with him to Santa Claus - I mean, it can't hurt, can it?

How sweet is that. Your family is beautiful! I can't wait to read more of your story!
Do Brendan and Jackson both still believe in St. Nick? I can't remember when Todd and I lost the belief -- thinking I was about 6 or 7. Anyway, if they still believe, hold on tight as long as you can!!!
Hi! I commented on your blog a little bit ago and you sent me a note via my blog and I never responded - so sorry!!! I am a bit new to the "technical" side of blogging and I forgot to have the comments linked to my e-mail so that I would know when someone commented.
Anyway - I am sure you are so excited about your daughter! I know the faces of the children in the orphanages and baby homes and I know that there is a little girl especially picked out for your family.
I have never been to Sakhlin. I will e-mail my uncle and aunt on your behalf and see if they have any contacts. I did most of my traveling in Ukraine, but they have been to Russia multiple times on mission trips. They might be a wonderful resource! I will let you know what I find out!! If you would like to send me your e-mail I can forward anything directly to you. If you are more comfortable with me just posting on your blog that is great too! My e-mail is ashley.ashlynnrose@gmail.com
Praying for your daughter to come home ASAP!!
Ashley
