Butch and Lil' Roy
There are just too many things to list here that I am thankful for...the biggies though are
*my beautiful boys
*my wonderful, heaven-sent husband who provides both love and humor in my daily life
*my little princess who is somewhere in Russia just waiting to come home to us
*my family (we miss you so this year, Daddy)
*my house
*my job (which I don't like but I am very thankful for in this day and age)
*my fabulous friends - I don't know what I'd do without you!
*my Carolina Tar Heels
*my country - I am proud to be an American
"Remember God's bounty in the year. String the pearls of His favor. Hide the dark parts, except so far as they are breaking out in light! Give this one day to thanks, to joy, to gratitude!"

They've grown up SO much! Hope you had a great turkey day and know that I'm thankful for your friendship!
Thank you for your sweet comments at my blog. It's good to hear from people who know exactly how I feel. I can't believe it's been a whole year without my dad. Even now when I think about it, it still seems impossible. I saw my dad almost everyday because my parents lived close by. I remember last year on New Year's Eve I didn't want the year to change (2007) because I wanted to able to think (in my own mind) that I still had seen my dad "this year" ....and to think of the year changing to 2008 (a year my dad hadn't lived in) was bothering me. It sounds silly I know, but little things like that get to me. I still cry almost every night as I get in bed and think about it. And just the other day I was at Target and walking down a Christmas decor aisle and saw these Santa hats and it just cut me to the core because my dad always put one on Christmas morning as we opened gifts. Just typing this is making me cry! So I'll change the subject!
Your family is so beautiful! And your home looks gorgeous too!
