On January 6th, Brendan started Confirmation at our Methodist church. He has already been working very hard on his weekly assignments, and I am so proud of how seriously he is taking it.
I was able to snap a couple of photos of Brendan working on this week's assignment without him knowing. He was very focussed.
His Confirmation class also held a Bake Sale at church on Sunday before, during and after each of the three services. Brendan and I baked 4 batches of cookies and 24 cupcakes.
All of the money is going to our church's building team who will be traveling to Jamaica next month on a mission trip!
These kids raised $1026!

On Sunday my family became members of a Methodist church. We had been looking for a new church home for about a year. Since our older girls are, for the most part, no longer living at home, we just told them what we were doing and didn't assume anything about them joining. They all showed up at the class Sunday afternoon to join also. I was so proud.
You know you have done a little something right when your kids take their spiritual growth seriously.
